Sony Drbt50 Stereo Bluetooth Headset
On the first day I did have some problems, I set them up with my intel macbook (black) and got horrible sound quality. I later realized I am using the wrong settings, for movies and music make sure you select “headphones” from the menu. From the bluetooth drop down menu, choosing “headset” will result in mono sound quality. This mode selection must be done every time you turn on your computer or after turning on the headphones (such as after charging them). The headphones will disconnect from the source when you plug it in for charging.
I noticed lots of crackling when watching films on Hulu while Netflix view instantly seems to have less crackling. I suspect the crackling has to do with flash video source, since the music and Netflix seems to work fine.
The range is ok. When in the same room I can move around but when I enter a different room on the same floor it tends to get choppy. I think this has to do with the MacBook because the iPhone range was much better (cont. on this in the next section).
Using with iPhone: I use the headphones on my iPhone 3GS as well and it sounds great, really close to the quality I get from using Sony MDR-EX71SLA. One slight annoyance is that when the iPhone and MacBook are in the same room, iPhone will always be the default pairing to the headphones. Right now I would turn bluetooth off of my iPhone when I want to use the Headphones with the MacBook to prevent accidental linking with the iPhone. I hope there is an easier way to switch between sources.
