Lyndsey Parker Har Fått Höra Tre Av Adams Låtar!!!!!! Hon älskar Dom!!!!

(Out November 23). My black-fingernailed fingers are quivering in almost too palsy-stricken a manner to type, but at the same time I am too excited about the audio glitterbombs that have been blasted directly into my unsuspecting ear canals to wait until I’m fully coherent to share my giddy thoughts. I’d be waiting a good long while, really.

Yes, the music was THAT good, people. It was EXACTLY the extraterrestrial electro-opus I hoped and dreamed it would be. You know how the Glamerican Idol recently told that his album would sound ”as if a ’70s time-capsule blasted off into space and you’re watching it through a holographic filter”? Well, yeah, that sums it up pretty awesomely; I honestly don’t know if I can actually top such brilliant wordage. Perhaps Adam should just have my job…if he weren’t so busy reinventing the pop wheel, being fabulous, making plans for world domination, daring to dance in the path of greatness, etc.

Now, I know some fans (including myself, to some degree) were thrown a curveball by ”Time For Miracles,” Adam’s classic-rock-leaning, Aerosmithian -meets-Robbie Williams-style, with the audacious declaration: ”I’m here for your entertainment!” And he ain’t kidding. This is an ultra-caffeinated party-starter (imagine if Mika, Sam Sparro, and Kevin Rudolf had a threesome that resulted in the conception of a glittery alien baby…if you dare), and it’s just begging to be remixed by everyone from Calvin Harris to the Neptunes to Justice–even though it sounds like a shiz-hawt remix already, as is.

ClearWire, now called Clear, is popping up in major markets around the country, and their idea is a rather revolutionary twist on an already tried and true concept. They are turning internet mobile by basically transforming the cell phone towers around town, into giant internet routers, so you can pick up the internet anywhere you go, mobile, or at home. They are selling packages that compete with the ATT Wireless Mobile Cards, The Sprint version, as well as Verizon Mobile. The systems work differently, since the big dogs work on a satellite-internet system, and can go all over the world, but the Clear version of City-wide (and within 18 months, nationwide) Wi-Fi (which they call “WiMax”) is exactly that, a maximum range Wi-Fi connection, just like what you would find in your local starbucks, except it’s everywhere. You get the equipment you need free with a 2 year contract, just like what all the other companies do, and you are set up to go anywhere in town, or in any major market that they are set up in, without wires. In fact, their uncoined phrase is “Cut The Cord”.

At&t Ready For Tropical Storm Ida In Georgia

11/09/09

ATLANTA, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- With Tropical Storm Ida approaching the central Gulf Coast and threatening Georgia with heavy rain and flooding, AT&T* today announced it stands ready with an arsenal of disaster response equipment and personnel for a quick response post-landfall. To help local consumers and businesses prepare, AT&T is also providing important communications tips for use before, during and after the storm.

AT&T has invested more than $500 million in its Network Disaster Response (NDR) organization, which includes more than 600 technology and equipment trailers that can be quickly deployed anywhere worldwide to respond to a disaster situation, such as a severe hurricane. AT&T invested $145 million in recovery and restoration efforts related to the 2008 hurricanes that included the opening of a third NDR equipment warehouse in the Southeast.

A critical element of AT&T’s efforts to maximize network reliability is its ability to swiftly respond when disaster strikes, made possible by extensive standard pre-season and pre-storm preparations. These include: ongoing readiness drills, topping off fuel at generators positioned at cell sites and switching centers, testing high-capacity back-up batteries, distributing additional extended battery life and portable generators, using natural gas in a portion of permanent generators to eliminate need for refueling, adding capacity to wireless network, and staging of additional emergency response equipment in strategic locations near the anticipated landfall area.

Solid net profit growth despite challenging environment

HONG KONG, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ --

-- Profit attributable to equity shareholders grew 33.0% to US$91.5 million -- Net margin expanded by 3.5 percentage points, from 8.8% to 12.3% -- Group revenue down by 5.2% to US$738.0 million -- Strong balance sheet, with net cash of US$229.9 million -- Interim dividend up by 33.3% to US16.0 cents per ordinary share

VTech Holdings Ltd (HKSE: 303; ADR: VTKHY) today announced its interim results for six months ended 30th September 2009, reporting solid growth in net profit despite a challenging environment.

Group revenue for the six month period decreased by 5.2% to US$738.0 million, as sales growth in North America and Asia Pacific was insufficient to offset declines in Europe and other regions. However, profit attributable to equity shareholders increased by 33.0% to US$91.5 million and net margin expanded from 8.8% to 12.3%, reflecting lower material costs and higher operational efficiency, including an ability to engineer products and processes for lower cost. A stronger focus on managing foreign exchange risk enabled VTech to minimise the impact of fluctuations in the value of foreign currencies against the US dollar. An interim dividend of US16.0 cents per ordinary share was declared, an increase of 33.3% over the same period last year.
